this is a very opinionated question. The right answer is what ever works for you. Some run 1 min on 5 min off. I run 15 seconds on 5 min off. Lot's of variables play into this.

right now i keep my lights on 24 hours and my pump never turns off i cant find a timer that goes by 1 min. only 15 min... my plants seem to be growing ok but dont seem to be taking in nutes just water can you help?

cycle timers will do intervals other than 15 minutes. as far as the nute uptake, what is the ph of the solution & ppms? How old are they? What are your trying to feed them, What is the temp of the room and res?

i second that if you want them to grow fast put them on for 24.. if slow then 18 on works

running the pump 24/7 may just be your issue, they put off heat, and if it is running all the time it's defeating the purpose of aero, when the pump shuts off the roots get oxygen and causes nute uptake and growth.
