Are veg nutes necessary when using FFOF soil?

I vegged my current crop for one month in FFOF soil and they showed no signs of nute deficiency, so I didn't see any need to use veg nutes. I just put the plants into 12/12 today so I'll start them on their flower nutes shortly. Is this fine to do? Would my plants be doing even better had I used veg nutes during veg?

yah, i still like to use veg nutes with ffof soil.. i wait about two or three weeks or so and than only start at about 1/4 strength or so, but i don't think that ffof soil has enough nutes and stuff in it to let a mj plant grow and thrive for its entire vegetive life without adding any other nutes...

ya deff gotta use only 1/4 dose the first time i learned i just added grow big at full and dam i got burned!!! kinda recovering i think but def lesson learned

good thread...with any soil,that has nutes in it for the first 3 weeks to 4,i do not think you need veg nutes,i mean most growers do not even let their plants veg till fully veg'd any way,so that just might be why people use nutes(veg nutes)to force growth...hmmmm...
