Cheers man , the ak47 is on week 5 of cyco nutes , and beside them is my puff puff passout that are on there first week Have only been giving them half the dose , and the white widows are on week 2
Am taking my ak47 to week 9 , which will make my puff puff passout 4.5 weeks old from clone and my white widow from clone 5 weeks old , so they all will be a pretty good damn size by than I hope , really hoping to get at least 4 bags off my ak47

I didn't bother germinating these ones with the paper method as I fucked 4 white widows up doing this haha :/ only have 5 white widows seeds left now and 3 pinapple for next grow

why are the bigger plants under the orange light all pushed together like that ?

was it near the start or end of the light cycle ? the bigger 2 have some leaf hanging down ? too dry ? too wet ? or do they just want more airflow ?

Haha na man that is one plant in there haha and the other 2 last week was literally all yellow ( like the other 2 in the back )

Yeah man I came in after work and the top of the colas leaves was pretty sad , which you can see in picture , had the light way to fucking close haha , after this grow going to to get another cooltube because these ones just get to darn hot , my mate Evan said to me am I sure it's not 1000w light it's like na it's only 600..

Yeah I`ve ran a 1000w hps on a cool tube with a 600w before it, just an 8" or 10" fan and a 5" cool tube, lol

It did the do

Just using a 600w hps with a 300w (150w real world) led panel that`s pretty blue, for veg

my flowering area is all led and induction now

just less heat and less need to water also when the plants get tall I get less worried about a fire

but they did drink a lot with the hids running I think that`s the upside and the down side to hps, the plants seem to drink more, idk if they make more bud but they drink more when they get close to that lamp


I use cool tubes cos there cheap, but when I had almost no space I got rid of the cool tube and used a vented hood with a glass panel, you can take the glass away when its cooler, anyway found that worked a lot better than the cooltube, also a light spreader works well

And not to forget that I find electronic hf ballasts even on "super lumens" seem to make the hps less hot than the old type magnetics do, but I do think the older type ballasts make the lamps look brighter but that could just be that they are pulsing stronger but a lot slower than a digital ballast, digital ballasts seem to yield you a bit more gpw and reduce the heat a tad

Still its worrying that they don`t look as bright... lol

but I do like cob leds or 3w or 1w led panels and I like to pick them up cheap and fuck around with them, lol

Are the led lights any good man ? A friend of mine has a 600 watt for 150 and was thinking about getting it

depends on the light

you have to look at consumption, a 600w hps uses something like 700w and a super lumen 600 ? maybe 800w, some leds aren't quite as efficient as hps, but they are easier to aim and deal with for some people

Some are way more efficient, straight up some 600w leds can do the job of 1000w of hps

but I go by consumption and I never expect 600w of led to replace 600w of hps, but it normally does make as much bud or more and you normally water less

plus you can feed your fresh air in over the top and make a nice down draft

also you can put your filter to one side and you don`t need to run the vent right over the top middle of your grow

So yeah leds are good

you can also angle them in for side lighting

Thanks heaps man you have been a big help , sounds like you have you head screwed on with this kind of stuff

May be suffering from heat stress a bit,but it's hard to tell from first photo ,the second set of pictures look fine,get a fan blowing them ,get them moving this will give the plants far stronger stems.

Just had to deal with it

Then when your not able to be around it all the time and you have problems you start trying to make it simple, because you can`t really teach it to someone that`s just well, a watering can monkey, lol

Led`s are a cunt when they bust but hps and mh bulbs blow and cost £20 to £30 each, and ballasts and stuff are expensive

So it all costs money and I know that the cops could just take my shit

So I buy and build my lights as smart as I can

yeah I want to drop £k`s on the best lamps around and compare them and such but if the cops get them or they get broken and I have to replace them....... 150 aint too bad for a 600w led if it only uses 300w I`d rather pay under £100 but if that`s 150 usd as long as its not a totally budget china hunk it`s worth a go

My mate really likes to add 1 to 2 300w (150w consumption) leds along side a 600w hps, he said when you want to use 2 x 600`s and can`t due to heat 1 to 2 of the 100 x 1w panels is good for top and side lights

Actually he want to ditch the hps he`s finally becoming a full led guy when he can, mostly due to its more stealthy, you water less and normally the gpw is higher

but that means 4 x 300w led panels for him to replace the 600w hps as the panels only use 150w each, that`s 1w chips 1w chips are very effective but don`t penetrate very well, my mates style is just growing top bud, even if the plants 2m high he`ll only grow 1m of it he`ll remove anything else off of it

I use side lights and more intense leds that way we can go deeper, but I normally find I have to remove the 1st 3 to 6 nodes before going into flowering but we veg for 1 to 3 months normally so they are pretty beefy and have been thinned and topped a few times going in to flower

Been looking into led light in depth for about a month now,there greast for veg,other than that hps every time.
