These are all 3 weeks old in FFOC 4 gal pots. Going to start LST soon, just wondering if they seem the right size for the age. Using 2- 40w 2800k daylight cfls for each on 24/0. First is afgan kysh ryder, second is automazar and third is amnesia... please let me know your opinions and suggestions!

They will prob seem to be too small and then within the next two weeks could be any of the days, they should shoot up like bullets. They can triple in size easy in this time period.

Hey man they look nice but 2800k is not a daylight bulb. That is more in the red flowering spectrum, I would suggest using 6500k or at least 5000k bulbs for veg. It promotes tighter internodes and less stretch. The red light would provide more leaf and structure development (buds) but since your in veg I would switch. Those bulbs are great for flower though. I would add one extra 23-40 watt for flower and you should be good if you have a nice tidy canopy. Personally im broke so if it comes down to it I might veg with 2700k as well, but if you have the resources I would correct the bulb temperature. Good luck buddy, and peace! :peace:

Those look like daylight bulbs? wtf?

Anyways, shit seems short healthy and stumpy = lots of light = good. I would move the lights up a little to promote more vertical growth?

That ones up to you, you can always stretch them out to get clones, then bush it back out. That is assuming your not growing from seed indefinitely? lol

Yea my bad it is FFOF, and yes..daylight bulbs!! Haha. But moving the lights up May be a good idea, I'm hoping these get up around 3 ft or so.

I'm curious to see if those planters will stunt them or not. The tap root doesn't go straight down on most autos. It goes down and sideways, almost ninety degrees, and when it hits an impediment (like the wall of a bucket) it determines its sized based upon the restriction. The planter looks great at the top but it tapers and narrows at the bottom. How wide do you think the bucket is about six inches from the top of the soil? That planter is a question mark for me. The roots want to spread out as they go down and that planter restricts them as the go down.

They are at least 12" maybe 14" at the top, they seem to be growing more since I took the pics a few days ago, especially the akr (about an inch a day). I raised the lights up about 6 " yesterday to let them grow vertically a little bit more also.

The plant looks healthy. They might be a little small because of the bucket size you're using, but they look good. Next time try some 5 gallon buckets. Autos love them.

No point in rooting auto clones tho so with autoflowers it might be better to not make them stretch.

Definatley not gonna do any cloning, but wouldn't mind them getting a little stretch in there so there's more light getting through to the sides, which ill be doubling the lights up soon around them all.
