dont buy those unless you want to light up your warehouse....lol get some lights ment for "growing" i mean if you plan to grow with them.....
yeah those would work just fine. you might have to wire them yourself, they may be harder to cool, and the reflector may not cover the optimal light foot print but plants will grow under that light its is the same as any other hps.

Yo thank fabfun,, but its not 100% necessary to do that right ? if I wanted to use the reflector it came with
you guys are right whare house lights with ballast attached to socket is diff. the way to go no doubt about it......

they make grow lights designed for growing.... those are designed for warehouses....i dont understand why everyone tries to use all these "creative" ways to build a room that make everything so complicated. maybe like 15-20 years ago this would be a great thing to do, but now there are literally 100s of used growing lights online that can be had for very low cost. why not do it the right way instead of trying to jerry rig up some setup that eventually you are going to throw away anyway. these threads get so old.
