are these Cree led light bulbs suitable for growing and replacing cfls?

I just saw a commercial for a 9w (60w=) led bulb that puts out 800 lumens per bulb and comes in both color temps. Theyre made by cree and are about $13 a bulb but they last 10x longer than cfls.

Are these equivalent to those led panels?

I'm about to find out if they will flower,ordered 12- 2700k and 4- 5000k and some lamp parts to set it up and they will be here Tuesday.I have a LSD that is about ready for flower and a 31" square cabinet for it.I'm probably goig to add some CFL side lighting tho.

I was thinking the same thing. $220 for lights + $180 for a new tent.

$60 for 24 CFLs plus $180 for tent.
I usually run about 350w of CFL for 2 plants, in the summer, with AC. I usually yield about 2oz per plant.

Considering that they burn less than half the watts and seem to be doing a better job than the CFL's atm they're OK with me. I think I could of done a better job with the CFL side from the beginning so I would love to see someone try this too. You should look into those bulb kits where you can build your own LED bulbs. It's a pretty simple process actually. Good Luck and Happy Growing.
