are my plants to close together

i have 9 plants under a 600watt bulb and i have got them as much under the light as they can get so the leaves are touching and the bottom leaves are not getting much light should i spread them out farther but if i do spread them out they will be further away from the light. what should i do somebody help

I would recommend getting some CFLs and placing them so you can get some light under the canopy. It might be an inexpensive option to your lighting problem.

well i spreaded them out abit today so i will see how it goes over the next week thx 4 da help

I agree with Reeny. CFLs are cheap and easy to instally virtually anywhere.

i have 9 under a 600..its probably not optimal, but it works!!!
