my aquarium pump was kinda loud so I thought that it was cause of not havin enough power ,so i made a light knot on the hose and now it s really silent ,I can hear the pc cooler louder.
My question is could that pump break if I leave the knot there or should i make it further to the pump s exhaust?

well if the pump stopped the noise ,doesn;t that mean that ,before i made the knot it was on over solicitated because of the lenght and diameter of the tube?i was thinkin' it would help build up pressure in the tube.....when you remove the tube while it runs ,it really makes a loud vibrating noise....doesn't it?well mine was a little more silent ,but still annoying ,that s why i made the knot and now it is silent as a mouse and the airstone still works at a high speed rate.

Is there a way to post a picture of the example? I am unsure as to what you are asking at this point and is 60 W too much power for your setup?

well, I can understand that :P. Ok, so, while 60W may seem like a lot, it is a very small amount considering the important of its role in the system. However, there is a smaller one that also puts out a decent amount of power.

at 20 watts, its a pretty sweet pump ;)

Is there a specific limit of your power usage in addition to my curiosity of your lighting setup? Hope all's well and look forward to hearing back!

it s a 10 l waterfarm in a 40 x 40 x 120 cm tent.I use 1 cfl 125w and it s enough.I heard water should be constantly aerating to prevent algaes and the pump was kinda loud....a small GHE mouse-shaped air pump.......I guess the hose was kinda long and there wasn t enough power from the air pump to build pressure in the long tube TO THE AIRSTONE...........so i made a knot ,after realising that the noise slowly disapeared when i gently squeezed the tube between my fingers...i made it not too tight to let air circulate ....gonna leave it like that as i have to keep real quiet (i live in a rented flat with kinda thin walls and the owner lives just underneath) ,and he s receiving the electricity billls for each apt.....
