yep, got a notice, need to do 'preventive' bed bug treatment. (bugs found somewhere close) he comes i have all my lights off doors closed (store rm and closet) first thing he does, opens my store rm door. I come right behind him, close the door, say no treatment in here, goes to the bedroom, i say no treatment in here either.

Make a long story short, he's coming back to treat the two missed areas. Does this mean he can't bust me, like he can rat but need to have mgmt actually find it? I got a lock for the store rm and can dismantle the closet, am I good or are they going to persist. Can contractors for apts rat?

They can rat but chances are they aren't , I'm a contractor and I see and smell weed in apartment buildings all the time. Never told the owner. I don't get paid to run my mouth

to kush, It seems he's told them, why needing to treat missed areas? When they come (mgmt and contractor) they're gonna charge me 100.00 if i don't have these areas ready, for 'prevenative' cockroach treatment. Is this a play to get the mgmt to find it, and clear himself?

Also, do tennants have the right to see 'your' id. Like business card? Mgmt is telling me it's classified.

It's probably above board. In the case of an infestation, the health dept. probably requires a signoff that 100% of designated areas were treated. The mgr and contractor probably have no choice in the matter to get the health dept's approved stamp. Can you move the plants out for that day? I suspect you'll need to. cn

Try to get gay with him the whole time, and have on gay porn, I recommend Hot Sessions #11, you will either make him uncomfortable and he will leave fast or you will get lucky, win win

Thats cute (no im not a fag) I just read a post where the contractor came back wanting to buy some, your way is way better. It would let the load off im carrying.

Did this guy rat or not? Did he not see the plants when he opened the door? Too fishy, if you contractors are done a job you don't go back and say i missed two areas. This is a prevenative, he could have kept his mouth shut, nobody makes more work.

He's probably coming with the apartment manager in case you deny him access to an area again. You need to move the shit out of those 2 places before they come. Put them in a couple contractor bags or something...

You never know what people are like. I used to work construction and didn't give a shit what people did, but some religious fuckheads have a much different opinion, and it would be a big deal to them. Even if they don't see it, if you're a pain in the ass and they become "suspicious" you might start getting checked more often, "gotta check the smoke detector" or "gotta test the plumbing", or wtf ever they want usually they just have to give the tenant 24 hour notice to inspect the property.

^Thanks man, I kinda thought i could talk them outa it. The lock on the door trick won't work? Can't a guy have private areas in an Apt? Sorry. guess i should know that, the regular maintanance visits go smooth, but this is different.

Not sure how it is in Canada, I'm basing off the US.

In many US states a landlord can view any part of the property with 24 hours notice (whether you're there or not...). Sometimes repairs need to be made, maintenance needs to be done(like kill bug infestation), or smoke detectors have to be checked.

I feel ya, Granny. On the one hand it feels like a shakedown; like he's hustlin ya for some sticky. But, on the other hand, he could be required to get every GD room, and is just sweatin ya so he can blow and go. Now, is he the kind of guy who can keep his tongue moist, or is he the worst kind of big mouth, roll a dimes in his pocket, douchebag, "informa"? Seems the simplist thing for all, is to shut down for a few hours, move the ladies, get the sprayer (and management) out, and set back up.

Good luck.

^Yeah, like he's a paki to boot, the fringin bug remnants he's saying he saw probably came from his frigin turbin.

Like why aint I busted yet?

Did I mention he 'says' he found bed bud remnants in the baseboards, they want to do a second 'and' third treatment for them 'AND' finish the 'preventative' treatment for cockroaches. That's were my grow is.

In my communication to them since the original notice has been strickly bed bugs, nobody has mentioned cockroaches, so I'm hopin (cross) that when they come i can deter that part easier. Unless of cource they come in and go direct to the storeage rm.

I can't hide everthing so the lock is gonna have to work. Frigin Harper just upped to jail time too, min 18mo's now. I'll be online or behind bars come Monday. Thx for the wishes.

this isnt going to turn out well , the landlord has a legal right to do maintenance on that storage cupboard , ie spray for bugs , the manager/sprayer will stand there and demand you unlock it , failure to do so will result in manager /landlord , calling cops and you will get no time to move anything .
how suspicious have you been already lol if i was the maintenance guy id know what was up straighht way , i mean what could you possibly be hiding so badly , gotta be something illegal . , i think the sprayer was cutting you a break , saying he will come back later .you gotta be fuckin dumb not to move everything before they come back .
i think you were lucky not to get busted first time , this time you wont be so lucky .

^Point taken. It has crossed my mind. For now, I got my bedroom closet dismantled, bed bugs remnants are 'supposed' to be in there. Do they really expect a guy to clear closets normally? People keep lots more stuff in their closets than i do/did.

This is a cement bldg, an interior closet would never now or in the future, ever have cockroaches. That's my story for the storage room too. I have 3 sets of floros and a 400w mh in there, too much to move/throw out.

I'm allowed 5 plants before trafficing charges, i'll have to try and hide a couple babies, and when they come, 'I'm' in contol, Like clean your first mess in my cupboards before you make another one. And the vib's. I'll let you guys know how it goes.
