hey everyone i have a question to ask you guys. i live by myself in santa cruz california and i have a medical card and i am interested in having a small grow in my apartment. Santa cruz allows up to 99 plants per patient and i will only be growing roughly 8-16 plants. The grow will have a carbon filter so i dont think the smell will be a problem at all but my question is that in the lease agreement it says no illegal substances. Is it still considered an illegal substance if i have a medical card. Also what would be the worst case scenario if it was discovered? Most likely eviction ? Thanks

Well its NOT illegal, you have the right to use it.
you might wanna either talk to your Landlord or just go ahead a grow, and keep it secret.
as long as your land lord doesn't like to be a snoopy bastard youll be fine.

But if he has it in the agreement that you signed he can evict you.
