anything will help. lighting questions..

Hey guys. I'm new to the site been jus doin a lot o readin. On this site books anything I can find But I have a couple questions of my own if anyone would care to enlighten me.

This will b my first grow inside. Have helpped other people with settin up there garden but I don't have the money to go all out like I want. On a pretty tight budget. And every grow settup is gonna have its lil kinks. I got a master kusk from the local collective only one for now to gague the smell. So...

Right now I'm using 3 26watt CFLs 2 blue I think 6500k on a angle to the sides and one yellow 2700k on the top. I have em pretty closse 2 to 3 inches away on clamp refelectors. My closet stays at the Perfect temp stays right around 74 durning the day and barly drops below 70 at night. Fan on and wide cracks think ventilation is fine for now.

I recently helpped an friend an he gave me 2 light fixtures with another one added without reflector. And a couple bulbs. pictured below.



Now after doin some reasearch and hookin em up. These fuckers are hott!!! I think almost too hot. Ima have to have em so far away will the plant even b able to use the light??

Maybe if I still keep the CFLs for supplemental light ?

Or can I put bigg CFLs in these fixtures? Even if there made for halogon?

Any thoughts would be nice.

Get rid of the lights!

Ya I hooked em up. An I swear I was gettin a sun tan. I knew it wasn't gonna cut it. But if I can use some clfs I guess I saved a few bucks for reflectors. Haha fuck it. An got more area to clamp onto lol. The _cfls are workin fine but its not even a foot yet ima need more light soon tho. Ima try to switch to a hps for flowerin instead of buyin hella cfls. But I gotta work with wat I got for now. How many u think u need for one plant?? Guess it really depends on the size of the plant huh?

if those are the 65wtt plant light ya they are a little hot, but work very well.

Ya those are 150 watts each. Waay too hot. I swear if u stand too close u will get burned. So after lookin some more an breakin a bulb I went to lowes. Got the biggest cfls they had. Only 40 watt 2700k and 26watt 6500k. They. Had 150s but they were dimmable. So now I'm at 2 2700k clfs ones 40 watts 2600 lumens. The other is think is only 13watts. I don't think it even 1000 lumens. Then the 2 6500k both 26watts at 1600lumens. So that's around 6800 lumens will get more for flowerin but here's wat it looks like getto I know. Lol



Think that will do for veggin??

yeah you got the right spectrum the 2700k right the extra 6500k spectrum will add lumens and wont hurt. should do jus fine.

yep and for flower if you have enough

my friend grew in a closet and a gutted out fridgeand did very well. over a oz off each plant.. he had two plants. good luck and keep um green

For real u think that enought for flower too?. Ill probly switch to all 2700ks. I jus need it to fill out a lil cuz those lights are so far apart I can't get it close enough to one with out it being far from the other I think I found a happy medium bout 2 to 3 inches away from any of the lights. Well see wat happens thinkin bout movin back to 3 lights till it gets bigger an can take up a lil more space so it can take in more light.
