I feel like ive gone down a rabbit hole since the switch to led. Anyone wanna talk about them?

Ive reaseached and researched but its still unclear.

Magnesium defs... is mag the limiting factor now?

If i turn my light up to 50% the mag defs show up real fast.

Im stuck on 25% power (200/250 PPFD) and wondering how im gonna flower them at this point.

Im using straight coco coir and chems btw.

What makes you think you have mag defs and why would you blame the led?
Led isnt that much different than any other type of lighting.

The most common issues are usually related to temps being too low
So if they are related to temps being to low, lets talk temps. Ive got a new light, new meaning i havent used one before. No experience. Im a hps person and you wont find me asking questions about them because i already to know how to use them. Im asking for help and being told no comment to this nonsense. What has this place turned into?

i havent grown under hids when i started there were ok leds out i used them and now they have good leds and i use a mid range good led fixture. now keeping in mind that i cant compare hid vs led, some plants in my tent want way more magnesium than the others. so i give extra epsom to keep them happy.

I was trying to help.
Most try to keep their temps in the 80's for better plant health under led.
Closest i can come is 78 before humidity becomes an issue in flower. During veg i keep temps around 82.

I used regular nutrients with no magnesium additive and don't get deficiency. Most people who get deficiencies are actually not managing their pH. If you keep pH at 6.5, you won't get deficiency of anything. If plants have issues at 200 PPFD something is majorly wrong. I'm guessing its pH.

I grow DTW hyrdo as well and I feed my plants every 48hours with ~1000ppm 6.5 pH and get no issues under 750 PPFD various LEDs.

I recognise your name im sure weve spoken before. Thanks for taking the time out your day to reply to me. Im Aware they want more mag i just want to know why so i can get my head around it. Could be low temps immobilising it. I just dont know. And with knobbers like bk79 on here its gonna take a while to find out.
what are your temps like? i get 26°C on the leaf surface according to my laser thermometer which can be off, i got a thermometer under the canopy and it reads 22-23°C constantly as i keep my ac running at that temp.

How come 6.5?

To start they wasnt so good low 70s. Ive had to turn a 250 hps on to heat the tent and now im 78f ish daytime and high around 63f nights

So really there's a number of factors at play here, some nuanced LED stuff, and some just regular how the plant grows stuff.
LEDs you do need to watch, temp, rh, light distance and so forth but really that can sort of be said about any grow method. You think plants like to be blasted be intense direct sunlight in the desert? Hell no.
The mag def popping up could be a couple things depending on how it's presenting, you know? We need more info to make a more accurate assessment but if your situation is that when you increase your light intensity thus encourage growth, and in turn the plant is cannibalizing older growth to support new growth, that really is more that the plant needs more available nutrients.
If you're getting immobilized nutrients it's probably not going to be getting new growth and the plant will suffer indiscriminately of age of growth.
Also @bk78 is a good guy, can be a little rough around the edges but hey it's a rough world we live in.

Lumatek 600 pro 2.9 full spectrum
Canna coco plus (straight out the bag)
Athena blended line with additional cal mag @2.5ml per Gallon @ 1.2 EC 5.8/6.0 PH
Fed to 20/25% run off.
Temps high 70s lights on, low 60s lights off.

Also im extracting into the same room my tent is in to recylce the heat.

Light is on 25% power close to 1m above canopy roughly 200ppfd with photone app.

Maybe they just need higher or more frequent feeds. Would explain why the lowers yellowing happens faster with higher light levels.
I have a plant going now that has wanted 1.8 to 2 ec since early in the grow, its in a water farm though

Quite possibly yes. I appreciate the reply

Increase your EC. and like boatguy just said you may need to increase # of fertigations. Go up to 1.8 to 2.0 for a few feeds and you can turn light up. I always end up back at 1.2 to 1.5 after i am feeding multiple times per day but I go up to 2.0 when i first up pot.
