The way the sun travels across the sky. Maybe a 400 on one end for an hour, then a 1k closer to middle, another 1k in the middle....then end off on the other side with a 400 for night fall?

You know what I mean? I remember a guy posted these massive football size buds from huge trees and he said something about mimicking the the way the sun goes across the sky.

I know it is a way to save power by the gradual introduction of light, but do you think you can actually get more weight? Maybe just from having a healthier plant....

Anyone do this?

I would be suspicous bro. The sun puts out a shit ton of lumens. With lights your runnin a fraction of that amount. So the most amount of lumens usually means the more weight. just my 2cents

I could see it being an interesting expiriment to do something like... let's say for example... During vegging cycle do 400W for the 1st and the last (18th) hour of the 18/6 veg cycle & 1000 watts for everything in between. It could be interesting to see if the plant maybe could only make use of so much light when the light starts & that maybe by reducing the light @ the end of the day could help them go into sleep mode more easily. But as for making lights travel across an artificial sky?? I can't see any reason for this. & as for the expiriment I spoke of, I would be interested what that would do but to do such an expiriment means having 2 lights for 1 room. So until i'm filthy rich I would not be bothering with it. I think ideally a light should be directly above a plant & stay there all day. I can't imagine why a moving light that mimcked the sun going across the sky would be benficial.
