Anyone tried the General Hydroponics PowerGrower 8?

It looks legit to me but way out of my price range 500 is a lot but its looks like it would work good, i like to build my own shit lot cheaper that way

Never used one personally but discussed them with the hydro shop owner a while back and Its just a different shaped, more expensive waterfarm system with slightly bigger rez, controller n growing chamber.

I am using a Waterfarm 8, which is the same as that model, just with smaller pots. and would not recommend it without modifications. As you see in the picture the res sits on top of the " control modular". These are connected by that blue tube you see running from the res to controller. The big problem with this is you cannot remove the res to get at the controller water without removing it first, which is a huge pain in the ass. That is where I want to test my PH/PPM. I know what the feed water is, I want to know what the circulating water is. The also rely on a bubble riser for circulation, which in my opinion is not enough to circulate water through that many pots. I ended up throwing the res and " control modular", which is just a tub with a float switch to allow res water to fill it, away. ($100 in the shitter). I ended going to Walmart and getting a Rubbermaid bucket for my res. Then I bought a circulating pump, some more tubing and re-plumbed it. The pots are nice, but if I had to do it again, I would just buy the pots separately and some tubing and save $400. Make your own reservoir and save the money and buy some good seed. I just wish I had read a review like this one before I forked over my money. Peace
