anyone like fossils?

cause i just got 2 awesome ones from my friend, theyre like 100,000 year old shells from some kind of ancient animal
 
i got a tooth of a Shark 40 Million Years ago.... or so..... Cant remember but its wayyyyy back ^^

yeah, totally...... Crazy to believe that something so amazing could be alive....

I even put the tooth in my mouth just to see if i catch a little dna * i might go crazy or turn in to something * rofl.... hahaa :joint::joint::joint:
 
My dads coolest fossil is a fossilized head from a prehistoric lizard, he was offered 25,000 for it years ago by the local museum but didnt want to part with it. He's also got a megaladon tooth in excellent condition (one of my faves)
 
went down to the river one day. kickin' it with some friends. i look down between my legs and there is an arrowhead laying there.. pretty cool one. just sitting right there in the gravel.

ive found a few arrowheads
i live in missouri and everytime i goto oklahoma i always find one haha:mrgreen:

how would one know when the stone he's holding has something in the middle..... Any special Signs on the rocks ???????

I want one..
 
There just kinda gray and ugly outside, and they feel heavy. Gotta break em open to see exactly what is in there. Some of them are pretty hollow and feel light.It also depends where you live...some states have big deposits...like the one I'm in.Agates are easy to find...in the sun, the light makes them pop out at you.Edit.. I just found this...http://alicatsrocks.com/Aalmeriageode.htm and if you live near Iowa look up Keokuk geode....but maybe hunt went it dries out a bit.
