Anyone laid eyes on any of the new Hortilux Ascend LED fixtures in either the 450 EVS or 700 ES version with Far Red and UV built into the light.

I'd look at mammoth, they got one hanging at my grow store it has uv, it's a full size fixture for the same price as the 400 watt fixture linked.

I haven't seen anyone running the hortilux fixtures, probably because there is so much competition.

A lot of stores near me have the new Growers choice 720 hanging in the store. It looks really nice. I just wish they would make the fixtures a bit bigger foot print I don't want drop off on the edges of a 5x5 foot print.

The 700 es must be designed to run with co2 otherwise the plants couldn't keep up. I guess a person could dim it some and extend the life of the fixture. Just found a review or a unboxing if the 700. Surprised the the build quality isn't a little nice. I was expecting something a little more sealed. As far as spread goes I think the new HLG scorpion looks more attractive for a 5 x 5 plus the ability to add UV down the line. Crazy what companies are charging. If someone has the skills DIY is looking more and more attractive as well. For the money I would have thought the fixture would have been top of the line quality instead of looking like strips and a powder coated frame.

I saw the new Hortilux fixture in my shop when picking up some supplies. For me I'm wanting the ability to use a controller as I was looking for a flip-flop setup with the auto-dimming/auto-shutoff like many new ones do (both big names like Gavita and others). Seems like they don't have any automation in mind with this fixture given the manual dimming. I did find the concept of out of the box having additional UV and FR interesting though.

The shop had a nice little stack of 5 or 6 sitting there, too bad it wasn't the right move for me or I might have snatched me a new xmas gift. ;-)

Yeah it seems that all the new lights the controller is something that a person has to buy in addition. The ability to do a sunrise, sunset mode would be pretty cool in my mind. Surprised that a company can't offer something with the controller built in and that could be controlled threw a smartphone. Something like the Hortilux with all the bells and whistles might as well have that as well, considering what they are already charging. Silly to have to buy a controller for 1 light, not all of us have the space for a large grow but would like the ability to replicate one with our tent/space style growing.

I have a HLG 350R and I ordered the Horilux 350es. I run phantom 315cmh with Hortilux bulbs. The smaller units are manually dimmed. The HLG 350R "almost" replaces two 315cmh. The reason I say almost is the the fixture is 35" x 10". I am hoping the Hortilux 350es with a 45" x 24" will actually replace two Phantom vertical 315cmh.

How much space are you covering with the HLG?
