I'm a noob and was wondering when is a good time to top the plant and what the best way is to do it? thanks

Well I would say when she is 8 nodes high top her 2 nodes down and watch all the bottom branches grow fast.

u always want to do things like toping/fimming in the veg period in your plants life,,,,i would let her get at 7-10 nodes and chop rite at the two side shoots making sure not to nip them with the blade....ii like to tie my plant down then top it bushes out and u get numerous top colas look into fimming also ii cant tell u much bout that.......bless

u can do it any time after the 3rd leaf set

top them when they r young then you will get 2 big healty stems in the ones place=two big colas on top

I wait till my plants have about 7 nodes then top them at the 4th. The top then gets replanted as a clone.

I top mine as soon as the clones take root and state taking off. Ya want the new branches as close to the bottom as possible.
