If your a beginner dont start from seed. They take to long to mature, three years usually at least. Buy a tree or bush from a nursry and bonzai that thing. Theres also the option of stealing a tree from nature that looks good, i liberated a tree last year and its in a five gallon bucket doing wellThanks a lot guys, much appreciated. I think I'm going to give it a shot.
Ya, i wrapped them tight and used them to change the branch direction. Took them way down and they stayed spread after they came out. I wish i wasnt chuckin em because they were nice plants.Me too bde0001... NinjaBowler, I really like that training on that plant there. I was thinking of doing something like that when I switch to photoperiod plants for the summer. Except, I was planning to not wrap the wires around so snugly, as to allow for stem thickening. Is that why you took them off?
Hey RIU gardeners,
Has anyone here ever grown a bonzai tree?
Any input would be greatly appreciated!!![]()
