I met a guy who grows indoors using 'no till' type planting beds in large containers. This allows him to build a soil environment that thrives just like a kick ass outdoor bed.
He cuts one plant down and plants the next one in it's place. He relies on serious innoculation of the soil and foliar feeds.
I feel this is by far the best outdoor system and am thinking I am about to take it indoors.
I didn't have long to talk to the guy so I thought maybe I could get some feedback here.
