found my first batch of bluefoots this year. found around 200 to 250 of them, decent find. maybe dried 2 ounces. anyone ever eat these before? i did when i was a kid but now i just pick em for the hell of it and give them to my friends.

Do u live in the states im here in fl and i dont thinks its season really yet gotta wait a few more months from what i was told but thats for golden caps mainly.

other end of the planet here.

used to pick them in dairy pastures a lot. gold tops and blue meanies. Boil em down and away you go.

yes. where im at they grow very early spring as soon as the ground quits freezing and gets wet. the ones i found are called blue foots they are a strain that originated in bethany WV. i found a good bit again yesterday and plan on hunting more today, by the end of the week should have a pound or so

the ones i pick do not grow in pasture fields, they grow on rotten wood by creeks and rivers

We once picked what seemed like a lifetime supply outside of the Ocala FL area. Little did we know we would run out that same weekend. Went back looking for more two years later and there was a trailer park.
