Anyone Add a Bit of K to Super Soil?

Not looking for a fight. I'm trying the Super Soil as well as TGA seed. Very excited. Some have commented that the SS formula lacks Potassium, yet the reults using SS are undeniable.

I'm tempted to add some Kelp Meal as a slow release source of K. Rather than argue whethr this is needed, I would ask is there any harm?

Thanks for the civility

It doesn't lack potassium I am not sure where this comes from, if it did I wouldn't be harvesting 6-10 ounces plants dripping with resin and hard as rocks!

Instead of mixing it with your soil what about topdress with it or in a tea?.Would suck if your girls didn't really need the xtra k and you run into issues.

I have read quite a few saying it's short on K but i think that these peeps are coming to that conclusion by just what they are reading in the recipe, and not from doing a full grow with it.

Again, I can't argue. I assume there's some K source that's available to the plants. Obviously there has to be, in fact or nothing would grow. I have all of the ingredients purchased and will simply use the 2010 SS formula and go with it. No sense reinventing the wheel.

No sir.

Where i am it'll cost an arm and a leg. That and i would more than likely have to order things to get all ingredients and i don't do that.

Not sayin i don't want to use it either though.

The K comes from two places in super soil. #1 is the kelp meal that Aurora mixes in with the Roots soil. #2 is the K that is released over time from all the coco in the Roots soil. As coir breaks down, it releases K over time. That's why when using liquid mineral ferts in straight coco, you have to back the K off a bit in your mix so you don't lock out Ca, Mg, and N.

Someone give this man a cigar! So it's not just the coco in the roots but kelp also. I missed that. Good info on the reduction of K in heavy coco grows.

As I said, I'll use the 2010 formula exactly. It's just good to end that mystery. Surprised more haven't figured this out yet.
