It is dirt/soil.
My brother lives in the middle of nowhere in Mexico....well not nowhere but a long way from anywhere..... He and his wife make these with different types of soil they have there. Cool as shit but I do not have the patience to attempt anything remotely close. He has one he has worked on for 2 years that is the size of a basketball.

Why though? Is this just like a hobby or something? Pretty weird hobby, it is cool though
