i havent used any foxfarm product but this is the best one the nursery near me had that didnt have "trace minerals" in it. (EDTA) which causes harsher smokes ive heard, and which all around isnt good.
for veg.
"Fox Farm Happy Frog Tomato & Vegetable Fertilizer (7-4-5) is precisely designed for use on all veggies, tomato varieties, soft fruits and berries. The balanced ratios between nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium will allow the plant to feed vigorously while producing abundant high quality fruit set."
thats what it says on the bag, idk if this is just sneaky advertising or what but it looked good to me
and since cannabis needs almost the same nutes as tomatoes do, i thot itd be fine. i know its slow release but this doesnt seem too bad, should i mix it in with the soil like it says for potted plants or can i dissolve it in water or would that mess it up??
but wait.. if im using foxfarm ocean forest soil, do i even need to feed during veg because the soil has guano and wormcastings in it. then i could just feed for flower would this work? or should i just feed the plant less during veg with say 1/2 the amount of fert?
then im going to switch to happy frog fruit and flower NPK (5-8-4) for flowering
is this stuff good too? it seems most of the liquid ferts have the EDTA which i want to avoid.
"Fruit & Flower delivers multiple blooms and great bud set for all your flowering plants. You’ll get brighter colors, spellbinding scents, and delicious flavors, all thanks to the extra boost that comes from the micronutrients and living organisms in our fertilizers. You might not see the healthy root system below ground, but the multiple branching and heavy bud set above ground will tell you that your plants are well-fed.
Fruit & Flower is pH-balanced with premium organic ingredients like bat guano, kelp meal, alfalfa meal, feather meal and humic acid, a naturally occurring organic material that is formed when organic matter decomposes. Humic acid helps with seed germination and may increase the uptake of important micronutrients."
please i need help ASAP, i havent opened the bag yet so i can take it back if the product sucks
