has any used one of these electric food dehydrators to dry buds? and related expirience?

i dont know but you could try it on a set amout of buds to see if it works well
i alway stick to the regular process.

makes a harsh smoke.......it drys the buds to fast just have patience the cure is almost more important then the grow

The slower the cure, the better the product.
dehydrator makes it too dry, even for commercial guys.

Best bud dryer is the ALBfuct one...
He keeps temps at about 80-85 as not to make it harsh or destroy the THC.
Also you can make one with two fans, a small container and do it at room temp. One intake and one exit... dry's out buds quick. Seen it in the DIY threads.
Main thing is... not to use extream heat... you want to mimick natural curing.

Food dehydrators always cause a certain amount of degredation,
basically because it's not natural,i used to have to use one in a job and we dried and blended herbs
we also used to hang the herbs near an oven the herbs dried slowly near the oven always had a better and more natural
flavour,i don't know about using them on bud's but i wouldn't just based on my culinary experience with them i prefer to
let nature do it's work

Agreed.
How many months of work and how much money have you put into your setup? Is it worth it to you to do a quick dry process and have harsh smoke, or is all that time and money (count the research time as well, it all adds up) worth it to you to wait just a few more weeks and cure it properly so you enjoy every hit you take?
Bust a nug off, dry it in a microwave or dehydrator, and then cure the rest of it in jars or something of the like. In the end, you'll be happy that you only wasted a small amount doing the quick dry.

If it is out of desperation for a smoke that you are considering doing this
chop up some of the smaller less well formed bud's in a oven proof dish and
cover it with aluminium foil,then use a pin to prick holes all over the top of it,place it in a
pre-heated oven at it's lowest setting foer about 15 to 20mins it will taste harsh as a
witches tit but will get you high!!

well, thanks all,.... im not that patient on the first grow and only abut oz on 3 plants,.... but i was actually thinking on the future that if i quick dried all the small popcorn buds then i could mix them with the hung dried buds and they would balance eachother out after a couple days in paper bags

then,i used to keep them separate and promise myself i would smoke them first of
course i alway's ended up smoking the best bud's first and was left with the crap
at the end,and my tolerance would go up from smoking the stronger bud's so
the smaller one's would have little or no effect on me!!!
