Anybody modified vertical parabolic reflector to horizontal Reflector?

I am trying to get away with buying a vertical parabolic reflector and putting the bulb horizontal by changing where the socket is. Any ideas???

Make sure ur bulb is ok with this. Some bulbs will explode is placed incorrectly. Other than that you should be ok.
