well i recently purchased an aloe plant and it doesn't look so good hasn't grown and is getting a little brown. it is just starting to get cold out and this started first. i water it when the soil is dryish and it gets sunlight. i would also like to clone it to make more of them and place them around.

and this rose on the side of my house has been here for years. i have lived here for a year and a half and never a rose. i was wondering if i could clone it and put it in a pot and treat it right and see some roses any help is appreciated.

Aloe grows well in desert climates. You don't need to clone it, it will grow new shoots on its own.
You would have to research the type of rose you have. No flowers for two years is not a good sign. VV

can i clone the rose and put it in a pot and take good care of it? would that give me flowers. and how do i even find out what type of rose it is?

as for the aloe i bought it at like lowes in a really small pot and put it in a bigger on with new soil. but no new growth and it has gotten a little brown since then and i would love to turn this aloe plant into 3-4 plants if possible.

Aloe is a very slow growing plant. if its turning brownish you maybe over watering it. It likes to be dry.
As to your roses you could take cuttings. Next spring make sure to fertilize your rose with a good rose fertilizer every two weeks and water it well. Roses are heavy feeders and like to be well watered they also need to be placed where they will get alot of sun.

I know that roses like to be pruned. You might want to look up how and when that should be done.

av 001.jpg here is one i split from the other pot, doing fine.
dony try to clone, it wont work, id say they hold too much water, and die, when you take cuttings.

a green house is best.. high temps and direct sunlight made my aloe grow huge... It even flowered and produced wonderful orange things... the amount of new shoots annually was ridiculous, even the neighbors wanted shoots

thanks for the advice so i have to wait till the aloe has a whole new plant grow beside it kinda this "shoot" as you call it. it is slightly chilly out so should it be brought inside? (i have noticed no growth since i bought this thing either it was in like a 2 inch pot and i put it in a big one still haven't notice anything positive has been 2 weeks-1 month by now)

and the rose plant there is no way to turn it into another and grow it proper. or would i have to just trim this one down. they tell me it has been there maybe 4 years it is right up against the house like touching type of close maybe i can get some pics later to show you all.

Keep it indoors unless u have Mediterranean climate, can put outside for daylight, but night time temps might be too low, so bring in at night

The aloe can't take full sun, it'll turn brown. Try digging a little hole at the base of the rose bush and bury in it a teasoon of epsom salt and a banana peel. That should get it blooming.
