Anybody here using a Diatomite growing medium

I just transplanted one of my plants into a diatomite medium. I've heard good things about it from the hydro store I shop at. That it's more porous than Hydroton where I wouldn't have to water as much.

Anybody else here used or is using Diatomite?
Is there a difference between Diatomite and Hydroton?

it looks like pretty much the same thing to me. Diatomite looks like it will hold more water wich could be a plus the down side is probably the cost i would be willing to bet it was 50 to 100% more than hydroton. It is just different strokes for different folks i guess. Keep us posted on how it works for ya
