Anybody heard of "Cali gold genetics?

DJ travels up and down the coast of Cali all the time selling seeds. He's got an amazing rep as a breeder. But I've never once seen one of his strains in bud form in a dispensary. Why is that?
That's a great question. I have friends that grow the Grape Crush and the Blueberry. All of this is exported East. When I have time I'll post a list of all the strains that have his blueberry in it. You may be suprised.

Trueliving thank you for more info do you know what there keylime kush and Lemon cough syrup are as far as genetics ? take your time on the info thanks for the help!
Folks please excuse my long hiatus. I had pressing matters to take care of. I have some info straight from Myles on the Lemon Cough syrup which is now called Nigerian Kush. NK was in the latest Skunk mag in the milf section. Things are on the up and up at Cali Gold expect some killer strains in the next year. Here is the info from Myles:

1. Strain Name: NIGERIAN KUSH
2. Breeder: CALI GOLD GENETICS
3. Height: 5-6 FT
4. Weight (yield): HEAVY FOR A KUSH
5. Flowering time in days: INDOORS 80-85 days OUTDOORS 110 +
6. Sativa/Indica/Ruderalis/etc. ratio: 70/30 sativa dominant

7. The NIGERIAN KUSH breeding project began in 2008 as a cross between our old school Landrace Nigerian sativa father and the now world famous SFV OG Kush cut. After nearly four years of breed work, the project is finally ready for release in 2012. The flavor of the Nigerian Kush is reminiscent of both parents integrating the best of both the SFV OG Kush together with the exotic sweet cedar wood flavor of the Nigerian that remains timeless. Outdoors it stays fairly compact like the OG yet produces tons of branches, all with very tight internodal spacing making it a very productive Hybrid. The buds grow with the density of the OG, yet stack in with the same structure as the Nigerian. The flowering time is slightly longer than the average Kush, but well worth the wait. When the lighting is flipped, the resin begins to be produced as soon as the first hairs begin to show. The resin content is unparalleled stacking numerous trichome heads upon on one trichome stalk. The resin is so abundant outdoors the buds looked they were rolled in light brown sugar. The cosmetics, flavor and unique potency in the NIGERIAN KUSH makes this strain our favorite new release
8. Taste (burned and unburned): upfront the flavor is of the SFV OG with notes of lemon, wet leather and hash, followed by notes of cedar wood rounded by a haze like note in the finish
9. Scent (burned/unburned): lemons, numerous types of wood, mostly a cedar wood like note, finger hash and a slightly hazey note
10. What the dried bud/crumbled bud looks like: Looks like a beautiful sativa dominant Kush rolled in carmel colored light brown sugar.
11. Speed of high onset: 5- 10 mins
12. Duration of high: 3- 4 hours
13. Quality/type of high: extremely strong, a very facial type of high, almost numbing, spacey and sedating
14. Medicinal qualities: Excellent for appetite stimulation, sleep disorders, and decompressing at the end of the day

15. The smoking experience is really unique with an extremely intense foggy high, it has the characteristics of what we like to call” goggle weed” because after smoking it you feel like you’re wearing a pair of goggles standing in the fog, squinting your eyes trying to see whats in front of you.

The Keylime Kush is an experimental cross of the Nigerian Kush that has not been released commercially. It's a select Nigerian Kush female crossed back to an old school original variant from the Nigerian family known by us as (number six)
This particular #6 male was selected because of its offensively sour citrus aroma. The smell surpassed lemons and went into the relm of a sweet yet tart keylime odor. The keylime Kush is currently being tested to determine if it's suitable for further breed work, only limited batches have been released

Blue Dream is clone-only, so I wonder what's the deal with the Double Blue Dream
I think the Clone Only days are leaving. The world of genetics is so out of control fucked, that people are inducing hermi's on clone onlys, making seeds, and marketting them. This dillutes the genepool of the true clone only strains. Bubba-Kush has to be the best example. Pre-98 is clone only. Yet, tons of people are growing "it". Well, they're not growing Pre-98. 95% of the "pre-98" out there has nothing to do with Pre-98. Pre-98 is a HORRIBLE yielder and never really caught on in the commercial scene. Folks bred it with everything under the sun in an attempt to create a higher yielding Bubba. Those Bubba x ??? are what's currently being marketted as Pre-98.

I'll go out on a limb and say that less than 50% of all genetics out there are what they claim to be. Furthermore, who grows cuts for sale? People who tried growing flowers, but couldn't make it happen. So, they took their inferior genetics, called it Big Dick Monty OG, and sold cuts to the same dispensaries that wouldn't buy their shitty buds. Are all clone growers like this? Of course not. But, I believe more than half are simply liars. They're calling the clones whatever the market wants that day. Given how long it takes to veg and bloom a clone, they can do this for at least 90 days...then just change dispensaries.

Make sure to go back and complain if the cuts you buy are anything less than as advertized. Most people don't.

Just got back from Humboldt. Tons of people running short strains up there. But it's all on bigger OD farms. I think they aren't around dispensaries much because those strains work better as big OD plants.

Keylime Kush is suppose to be FROSTY!!! and liiime green! I really want to find some in so cal. It's almost one of the only kush's I havent tried yet!
