I bet there must be some out there! Or lets make a game out of it: Use Babelfish and simply PRETEND to be German! Thats gonna provide fun for hours!

Two replies in less than five minutes?! My spider senses are tingling, so much untapped potential!

Oh, and yeah, I'm mildly baked right now!

I'm American, but German decent, if that helps haha.

I wanna learn my native tongue so I can walk around town yelling pollite words in German so people will think I'm yelling racially prejudice slanders haha.

LOL, that's exactly like me. American but of all German decent. I would love to get a Rosetta Stone for German at some point in the future.

Rosetta Stone can make you the gentlemanly German speaking fellow... but really, best way to do it is learn from RS, then go to Germany on a work visa for 6 months and learn the words that are really used... instead of all the "proper" talk.

Exactly! Book German has nothing to do with the way everybody in RL talks.

yeah, its like regular street lingo and normal talk in america isnt a whole lot alike with the stuff they teach on RS for english or whatever. if you talked like that in real life you would either be thought of as being retarded or trying to be over-proper haha

I had mentioned Rosetta Stone because I might have an opportunity to do clinicals for school there for 4-5 months. So basically, exactly what you had said.
Now I just gotta hope it pans out.
