Anybody ever had issues with "wegrowbuds"?

I ordered a light, but then requested to cancel my order because of unforeseen pre-ship process times. I was told they won't confirm the cancellation until they hear back from the warehouse. Wtf? That's terrible customer service. My intuition tells me I will have to open a dispute with my bank.
 
Yea ur right how dare they send the order you created to the warehouse to be shipped. They should have confirmed you were totally sure you wanted it first.

I ordered this fuckin thing two weeks ago. The website is dishonest about processing and shipping times. I called for an update after two weeks and was told it could be 7-14 more business days, but I will receive a notification when there is an update. So I asked to cancel the order. Then I was told they need to confirm with the warehouse. I'm sitting here thinking - I can confirm for you right now - it hasn't fucking shipped. Wots that? Your notifications are useless? Give me my money back.

I came here posting about it to see if anyone else has done business with them to see if I had been scammed to determine if I need to escalate it. Not bitch about shipping. Whatever man. I pestered them until they confirmed the cancel, then I went to the local shop and bought something much better.

Life goes on.
 
It's more than likely a drop ship situation. They don't actually have the light. They simply order it from another company and have it shipped directly to you. Otherwise they'd just get up from the desk and go out to the warehouse.
That's gotta be it. Probably coming from China. If I had only known this would happen - I wouldn't have ordered it. Who knows when it would actually arrive with all the issues going on right now.

How much research did you do into the company? How many "real" people do you know that has used them?
