Just curious...
I've gone to a lot of trouble and just finishing up a full outdoor cage about 15m x 6m and 5m high.
I've noticed not many people seem to do it but it's a necessity in NZ native Bush with possums rampant.
Are there easier ways to manage these dicks?
Also, the soil in this patch is beautiful: like native Bush for a thousand years been growing undisturbed. I found a single pebble so far.
But down 2 1/2 feet, it starts to get soggy and further, straight wet.
The top soil dries out fast though. But I'm concerned.
What could I add to really aerate the soil, something not expensive (ie perlite)?
I've thrown compost, blood and bone and a bag of lime into this native soil BTW.
Love the site! First post
