Any tips for harvesting top cola early?

Hi,

I just wanted to ask if anyone has any advice or tips to help me on my first harvest - Woop!

The top cola on my plant is ready but the lower buds aren't. Is there a method for harvesting just the top cola early, letting the lower buds develop more? Can I just hack off the mature buds pretty much anywhere?

ive done this before once for this exact situation i think i even did this post lol. but it didnt turn out how i expected ya they mature more but wen the plant is ready ITS READY.sorry i dont have more info on this but its in first grow journal in my signaturethe WW i dont think its mentioned but you can see.

how do u know its ready? did you check the trichs?

check the trichs on each individual bud (if you dont have too many plants) to get optimal bud quality!

if you cut the top off you will be able to lower the light down to give more lumens to the remaining branches which i would try to bend and make then all horizontal to get a good and even distribution of light to all remaining branches. they will mature a little better that way..that is if it is an indoor grow.
