Any tips for first time grower?

I'm new to this site and new to growing. I know all the basics, but the thing is, I cannot grow inside at all. I must do the germination and first few weeks outside. In planning on planting them in a cornfield. I would appreciate if anyone who has ever grown in a cornfield or just grown completely only outside could help me out with some tips. For example, what is the minimum size of the cornfield I should aim for? Should I plant the germinated seeds in solo cups for like the first week and leave them outside, or could I just plant them straight into the ground after germination? Feel free to add everything that you think would help. Thanks in advance!

Are the corn fields yours? If not, probably not such a great idea.

They aren't. I've seen many people do cornfield grows in fields that aren't theirs though. I plan on only planting autoflowering plants in the cornfields because of the right timeframe and only placing one in each area, so I should be able to hide them well.

Well, I used to farm and the rigs I used for spraying gave me a darn good view of the field not to mention the sprays are something I personally wouldnt want on my smoke, but then its all timing there... Dont know your location or situation but maybe check out the gorilla growing there may be a thread on RIU, not sure...

Get 2k watts or more of light and start all them inside. Then eventually bring them outside and let them grow when its warm enough or the greenhouse heaters hooked up.

I think I will end up not doing the cornfield grow as of now because it may work if I could start off the plants inside, so I could then transplant them after the farmer uses the rig to spray pesticides and the corn is just left to be until harvest, but that is not an option for me at this point. Thanks for your input anyways though

Thanks for the input. That's what I will probably end up doing in the future, but I have no option of starting them inside as of now. So because of the right timeframe and risk of the cornfield I probably will just need to find a new place in a forest or something.

I can't. I will be able to in a few years though. The problem is right now my location is honestly not very good at all for outdoor cannabis growing haha. So I would need to travel very far to find any amount of forest substantial enough to build a greenhouse like that that will go unnoticed. And my property is suburban with people right next to me and lots of "friendly" (nosy) neighbors. Not to mention my parents live not toI far from here.

If you want to grow autos they dont get very tall. Corn does. Just a heads up.

Although, that doesn't mean I've given up growing for this next season. I have a pretty nice field not toI far from here where I can easily grow some autoflowering seeds that only get up to 50 to 60 cm high. Just the cornfield idea is not doable for me next season.

Well, is there any possible way for me to grow them entirely outdoors? I can get stuff to use as pots for them until they grow to a reasonable size before I actually plant them in the ground, but is there any way for me to pull that off?

Ya planting in the ground works. You probably want to dig holes where theyre going to grow and replace the dirt with good dirt. Crappy clay soil isnt that good for growing chronic. Or dig holes and drop pots into them.

Does not matter that the corn field is your or not,its what its about out door growing,unless you are blessed and can do it legal.

I would avoid corn for the reason that the farmer may look at the corn far more than you think,will the plant finish before the corn or vise versa ,also corn is a crop that tend's to attract wild life,pheasants,other bird life rats mice rabbit's,not sure about where you live but all these are our worst enermy in the uk they love munching on fresh cannabis,so netting would be needed,I all ways use the smallest gage wire for putting around the plants till they reach a nice height,once,they get to a decent size they tend to look after there self,

germinate the seed's in door's then take them out side i tend to harden them off,by putting them out for a few hours a day then just longer and longer till there out side full term.

Any tips for first time grower?
