any strain guarentee to grow purple buds?

Get your grow room cool towards the end of harvest at lights out and it will help bring out the color. Obviously you need to start with a strain that tends to be purple - Blueberry for example.

I have the original Grand Daddy Purple clone only that Ken Estes used to create his GDP. It was brought to Michigan from California about 12 years ago. It goes SOLID purple with no green at all after it's trimmed, and it doesn't matter what temps are. It can be 100 degrees and it still goes solid purple.
