Any opinions ofn a 1000w switchable

I wanna know if anybody out there uses a 1000w switchable light and how satisfied you are with it.

if you want to grow/yield "big," then 1000 watts is the only way to go. i have one and will not part with it.

I have a 1000 Watt HPS w/ a conversion MH Bulb, so in essence i have both on one ballast and its not switchable.

I have read that they are slightly less efficant than a HPS or MH ballast, but they are a good compromise if you only have one fixture for veg and bloom.

Yep, one fixture, and i mean yea they might be slightly less effective but for only another $80 bucks for the MH Conversion bulb instead of another $450 for a whole new MH 1000 watt setup... I'll go with the conversion and save that extra $270 for my ventilation and climate controls... just my two cents, unless u got money to burn then i would invest upfront in a switchable or just get a conversion bulb for HPS -> MH cause the other way (HPS conversion for MH ballast is like $195) is more expensive.

yes sir, switchable! i kinda go through a couple lights early on. everything starts under a t-5. from there a good week under a lumatek 400 watter. then, under the 1000 watts until harvest. i have a back-up 1000 watt hps only, just in case.
