I have had my plant growing outdoors for about 6 weeks now it's still not very tall porbably about 6" and it's just now on its 5th node, I was wondering if it's normal for the plant to still have 3 fingers on each leave at this point if so when will it increase to 5?

each strain is different, some have more than 5, some have 5........

I've had a plant with 13 on it....
don't worry about it..... it means nothing.

I'm thinkin' something's wrong . . . 6" in 6 weeks. That's NOT normal! Next time it needs water, stick a shovel in the ground several inches away from the stalk (where you don't think there are any related roots, but as close as possible without hitting the roots) and pull back a little, SLIGHTLY lifting the plant. Continue doing this all the way around the plant, then water. If it's gonna grow, this should get it going. I'd do this on a cooler, cloudy day, or in the evening. Hitting/cutting a root or two shouldn't cause any permanent damage.
Your plant should be much taller than you say it is, genetics be damned!

I was thinking the same it seemed to be growing way to slow as my friends and I have started a grow before but had to abandon it, could it be my environment? it's been raining alot over the past few weeks but the plants are in an area where theyre recieveing about 13 hours of sunlight

remember though.... the number of leaves has nothing to do with it though..... if anything, it's just a mutated seed, and may not get any bigger than that anyway.... who knows, after all, it is nature......

can't worry about the shit you have no control over..........

try starting over...... if you have the same issue, then you know it's something your doing...... I'd suggest bag seeds so that you don't waste money on good genetics until you know you can get what you pay for out of them.

alright man, i already have another seedling that has started and is going good at about 3 weeks, it had a rough start due to heavy rain but it is the only survivor out of 6 sprouts so i feel good about this one
