I've been thinking about getting into that
You should. The cost of the gear can be pretty high but you can usually forego that and just rent it.I've been thinking about getting into that
laha dives too
Have @abandonconflict help you get your license. He is a master diver. You should see some of his videos on FB. Fucking amazing.
That's what I'm afraid of, and why I've never done it. Shit, my brain hurts when I just go to the bottom of a swimming pool.If these cats can do it you can too.
I am NAUI and IDEA certified.
I have not been on a dive in a few years. My wife has trouble equalizing so she does not dive any longer.
After she stopped going with me I never felt like breaking in a new dive buddy.
How much does a decent wet suit insulate you? I know the stuff we used in Fire was more of a gumby suit, not wetsuit. How long could a guy go in say 60f water?Go to Utila with a few thousand bucks and a couple of months off, and by the time you leave, you will be a professional diver. If you don't have kids, this means selling your car and quitting your job. You actually can do it. You get to Utila with at a minimum $3k and you will finish a DM (including a place to crash, food and alcohol) with no gear. If you want help getting good deals on gear, I can point you in the right direction, don't be afraid to buy used. I recommend Aqualung regs and a Zoop computer, for everything else Mares is excellent for the price but fit is the most important. If it fits, it's the right piece of gear.
Don't waste money on a GoPro and again, don't be afraid to buy used.
depends. In a 7mm wetsuit an hour would be doable if you wore a hood. Probably longer. Maybe 45 minutes in a 5mm. Much less in a 3.How much does a decent wet suit insulate you? I know the stuff we used in Fire was more of a gumby suit, not wetsuit. How long could a guy go in say 60f water?
