Hi guys. I've been doing a few mukti day, 300-400km trips lately and have had issues twice with hydraulic brakes. First time a seal broke half way down a hectic 20% grade fireroad and fluid got on the front pads rendering them useless.

Second time I snagged a cable on a branch and damaged the cable where it enters the caliper. No front brake for 230km.

Has anyone else had any issues touring with hydraulic brakes? I might just be a bit rough and overly aggressive. If this is out of the usual I might have to change my riding style more than brakes.

I have some dual piston mechanical brakes coming (TRP spyre) and was considering switching for ease.of repair.
