This is what i dont like here - two party system. The political choice one makes on the election day really comes down to one of two parties. Two parties that are quite close to each other, differences are really small, and are only there to make an illusion of choice. And I bet that these two parties would pay a lot of money to keep two party system alive.

"I only disagree with their idea of ridding a nation of its borders, a nation with out borders is not a nation."
It would be fine if everyones government was libertarian, but they arn't. So I'm right there with you.

You want socialism so bad Med, I say give your rental homes to the tenants.
Just hand them over and say,
"I am a socialist now, So I will no longer exploit your need to have a roof over your head."
Put your money where your mouth is and tell me we need socialism.

So Ilk, you are starting to make it personal, eh? Have I insulted you with ad-hominem yet? You don't have a clue about my personal situation. Yeah I have some rentals. I rent them at a break even and sometimes less situation. My rentors are very happy with me as I am very liberal with my time constraints on recieving rents. They eventually get paid, but sometimes I have to go into my pocket to pay the mortguages, and believe me when I say my pockets are not even close to being deep. It is really pretty scary at times, my financial situation, but so far the ship remains afloat. It would not take a very large storm to sink her.
The type of socialism I would like has never been tried yet, an ownership society where the workers own the corporations, eliminate the megabuck corporate rapists and replace them with rhodes scholars at a nomonal pay scale. I'm sure it could be worked out to a place where most everyone but the top 5 percent would be happy. The top existing 5 percent would have to join the workers on the factory floors, turn their mansions into homeless shelters and build trailer parks on the golf courses, HaHaHeHeHoHoHo~ROFL~.

Well Med, you know what they say, CHANGE BEGINS WITH YOU

All the socialists talk about how humanity is going to evolve, but when confronted with demands that they "share" their wealth first they all object to doing so.

Yet another point, out of thousands, that prove that socialism, in addition to being an ideology that ignores reality was built on fantasy, dreams, and a lack of understand of humanity.

Oh, and that it's adherents are all hypocrites....

Med I'm not questioning wether your a good Land Lord or not.
I'm sure your great.
But you are infact a Land Lord.
Your "exploiting" the worker less fortunate then you.
Your making him pay for a home you will own.
Do you feel guilty about that?

What I am saying is your just like everyone else in the world.
Trying to get ahead, thats not wrong.
So long as it is voluntary and beneficial to both parties involved.
If your going to punish everyone who gets ahead then what is the point of trying?

Lets say I work hard all my life and I scrimp and save all my pay.
Would it be wrong for me to open a store and hire someone to work in it?
Would it be wrong for me to give that money to my kid so he would have a better life then me?
What would stop someone from the government to just come in and take all my savings at any time?

No respect for private propety rights.
No respect for contracts.
No way to get ahead,
and no hope for the future.
More likely then not, it would require a
totalitarian police state to function.
This would suck IMO.

Make mine freedom please.

Well, Im new to America and its political arena. Before I left europe I supported a political party very similar to your Libretarian Party. I agree with its platform and values. I'd vote libretarian candidate in presidental election, never a republican candidate. Now, I watch tv rarely, but there is this guy on foxnews, at 5ET, Glenn Beck - he calls himself a libretarian - but stands opposite to many libretarian principles. Do You, american libretarians consider him as one?
No Beck is NOT a Libertarian. The true example of our founding ideology may be found in Ron Paul.

Watch the Larry McDonald video. Yes, the two parties are operated by the same oligarchs.
