Huge ass? Like a "K" size cylinder? How tall is this and how do you intend to refill it?

There are servo units you can time, or do manual release or any number of control systems. The only time the CO2 would be a danger to life is if theliving creature is confined in a small space with high volume CO2 coming in. Headaches will indicate this might be occurring.
