Any Ideas On The Problem

White widow 5ft high outside in 3/4 pro mix 1/4 coast of maine compost..Ph is around 6.5. Feeding fox farms grow big and big bloom. As directed one time a week. Hasn't been awfully rainy outside mix of a few nice sunny days and then some rainy light, rain days. Highs 80 days, nights around 60. They have been doing fine.3 out of 12 plants have the 2nd set of bottom leaves just starting to show this. I want to solve it before it gets any worse. I'm stumped. These 3 are planted directly in the ground. The others are in 5 gallon buckets doing great.

there's a nitrogen defficiency combined with spider mites. you can see the freckles well in this pic.

get some neem oil, spray them down, top AND bottom of the leaves (the mites are mostly on the underside of the leaves)

get rid of the mites first, then let's get a pic of the whole plant.

So thats what spider mite damage looks like. Dang it. I will get the neem tommorow and spray them good. Can you see the actuall spider mites???

not in the picture, no. they are tiny, dust particle sized, turn one of the bottom leaves over and you will see tiny webs and tiny bugs. those are the mite bastards, begging for you to end their miserable lives :p

Thats what I meant I wasn't clear on my queastion. I would be able to see the mites on the plants myself. Thanks. How often should the neem oil be applied. I'm assuming one application won't solve the problem?

i'd use it every four days, five times, just to be certain you broke the life cycle of the eggs and larvea. their cycle is 4-8 days.
