Any Ideas are helpfull! Bubbleicious hydro, first grow.

    • Hey Everyone!

I'm just checking with you guys & gals to find out your general opinion on my lighting situation. This is my first post, but I've been reading on this site for about year, so I have an idea on what I'm doing. BUT

.....you guys are the masters and I'm just a newbie. So, here we go with a little info to get everyone caught up to my grow.

      42w (200w equiv.) CFL (6-6500K, 2-2700K) 2700-2800 lumens each
      -Hand watered, WELL water
      -Digital PH Tester

Nutes: Fox Farms Trio, also Aquashield & H2O2 rotated, SM-90 (in case of bugs, seen 1 ever, sprayed once 5 wks ago)
      Room Temp: Constant 74
Humidity: Average to low, 2 portable dehumidifiers (1 on and set to below average up till now)
I will put both dehumidifiers on full bore (large room) in 10 more days.

      You'll notice in the pics:

-One is a foot taller than the other
      wall.gif
: Day 14, after 4 true leaves, the lights over the "tall girl" stayed off for 28 hours. Wholly stretch!
I did have to take them out of the 5' grow tent right before I went 12/12. More later on this...

-The canoeing. About 15 fan leaves on The tall girl and 10 on the Bush. I already uped the humidity to make sure I don't have a moisture problem. I'm going to give a small dose of CalMag a whirl, since I have well water(1 household filter and a PUR faucet filter). And, I'll flush if needed.

      Now... Here's the question.

In the pics you'll see that the 4 sets, of 2 lights are basically on the sides of the plants.

Would it benefit me to make sure that there is a light "overhead" of both plants to avoid more growth, and to provide for more light to the colas?
And, could it be a possible cure (more light) for canoeing?
You can let me know anything I might change as well...
I appreciate any responses, and thanks for reading!

Though the walls are red, I'd still maybe look into adding a better reflective wall around them. Even hanging an old white sheet might help.

Leaves will generally go in the direction of the light source is what I'm noticing in my grow. Your "canoeing" issue is definitely not due to heat so I'm going to guess they're starved for more light, that or they may need to be fed.
