Most everything is a boil additive, all I was saying is that I would try the bud in the mash based on my experience.

Now its like well have you won any awards? Hahaha

I'm not trying to measure mash paddles here, I'm just wondering your point of reference is all. My homebrew club has a handful of guys who have been brewing marginal beer for 15 years. They think it's good and really that's all that matters but in terms of their beers ACTUALLY being good, the minor flaws in their process hold back every beer they brew. How do you tell a 'seasoned brewer' their beers kinda suck? You do so when they enter a competition. Competition brewing is about brewing-to-style and doing it better than the other entrants in that category. A brewer who is decent-at-best can occasionally pull and award here and there but the vast majority of the time poor technique loses to sound practices. My apologies if my posts came off the wrong way, I've just about done it all in terms of the beer styles I've brewed and the awards I've won. Just trying to pass on some proven techniques. Cheers!

Cool man. I have actually placed in local brew comps but I rarely brew to the style guidlines for bjcp judging.

I am usually brewing them too hoppy or too high gravity, or turned it into a "specialty" beer before I am done.

Ok, I got 5 gallon IPA kit and split it up for gallon runs . I am fermenting the control batch already. The yeast was slow but I'm on it-I made a solution with half and fed it wort to establish it for next run(s). It's in the fridge with foil on it and I got back up pack of the same yeast. Assuming this one goes well next run will be steeped with sugar trim from a blue God to try to add flavor. After that the next run I'll bottle with ice hash added at bottling. Then I'll do one with green Dragon added at bottling and finally the last and 5th single gallon run I'll do it all. 3-4 weeks to first test of the THCIPA.

i am not a brewer.. but i do have a bunch of 95% ethanol sitting around ...from one of my other projects ... what would you guys do with it? i am open to suggestions on the best ways to combine that with marijuana , any input or points in the right direction would be appreciated , thanks
