Have seen various posts about rigging up computer fans for tight cupboard ventalation and thought it the best way to circulate air in my up and coming grow box i ve seen them in my local computer shops and there pretty cheap for 2 or 3 fans, can any one post pictures, websites, or even there own ideas on how i could rig one up within my own GBox

Cheers.

sorry no cam. rember that heat rises so try to mount your fan high so it helps to keep the heat from building up in your box. to help make it less noisy try to get a sheet of that packing foam then cut it to size.

Wiring it, but i found a pretty decent website,

Instructables - The World's Biggest DIY & How To Show & Tell It shows you how to wire a one to a usb drive, lol i practised on a hand held fan that mother spins now lol! but i would prefer to run it off the mains, or a seperate power supply like a battery from an RC car or summit. rechargable etc, i seem to have got the basics but it's pretty difficult, i am looking into it. may just invest in some rechargable batteries and battery charger lol so that i an keep replenishing the power supply. as i have found a old X-Mod car that seems to use similar wires, and also old USB cables to wire them together in circuit!

So i would strip down a phone charger wire then, i could power the fans from the mains,

But when you strip down a phone charger there is a singular wire as it is only a means of getting electricity to the phone, then all the positive negative mumbo-jumbo can start (correct me if i am wrong?) while a computer fan has three maybe 4 wires 2 of course being the positive and negative so you can wire them to a parrallel circuit within your computer so how would it be wired?? if i used a phone cable?

Problem solved!

I bought a £5.00 CPU 12v fan, and wired it to a 12v power pack from an old router that "somehow" became airborn in it's shitty little life, (it never worked! bastard ripped me off! Pawn shops, Dont Trust them!) But at least it got me a 12v plug, got a switch for free and wa-la. done, i'll post some pics soon show people the process. well kinnda....... it's easy explained. and i am no expert!

I never knew it was actually that simple, But thanks for the tips, it helped steer me in the right direction. :peace:
