Any body having problems with ph in Aerogardens?

Thanks to the advice I found here I'm using distilled water and "Technaflora" nutrients I purchased from the local hydropnics store. I mix it, test it, and adjust it to 5.8 ph and my babies seem to like it but this morning they were from 6.9 to 7.3. That was in two days. Is this normal?

I don't know if I'm a typical Aerogarden owner but what I liked about it was that it was idiot proof. I filled it with water, dropped in the tabs and wa-la, it grew. But now with MJ it's a whole new and different ball game and I'm having to learn a lot of wonderful new stuff. Any body else having these obsevations on ph changing so fast?

Happens all the time in hydro, although with a change that dramatic something else is probably up - are the roots slimy and smelling like an aquarium?

The only times I've ever had pH swings like that is when there was pythium and/or algae somewhere in the mix.

If so, just use a little H2O2 and you'll be fine.

Or be safer and pickup Hygrozyme it eats any fungi algae and bad bacteria or any kind of dead or dieing roots and it's fool proof, when using H2O2 you can really mess your plants up.
