Eh cant say for sure but i have had the same strain from various breeders with size differences, %sativa /%indica differences, density. I would guess they are breeders who know the parent stocks to make certain strain varieties. Clone only strains are probably the ones to look for if you're into purity but nowadays even girl scout cookies is in seed form. OoooOooo
Yeah I would say you could get 10 diff pheno's of the same strain from seed banks and that would be a fun experiment seeing the differences!

ihear ..you leave your trim leaves on for dry/cure?
Drying yes, but curing i remove the fan leaves and the tips of leaves where there are no trichomes. I started bag drying this year rather than hang drying. I just fill the bottom of a large brown bag one or two layers of buds thick and hang it from a tree in the woods. Flip the buds every day to prevent mold and a more even drying. Bag drying takes alot longer than hanging but taste more like commercial cannabis when it comes time.to cure. I could never figure out why when i hang dried and then cured ot still smelled like grass clippings.

That blue dream i gave up trying to pull leaves off. The buds were so aweful looking and skimpy that i wasn't going to waste the time. But i don't smoke or sell, so i never care about curing and bag appeal other than the occasional boredom and practice.

Wow. Yeah a heard a well known commercial grower and utuber drying with trim leaves on as well. "Great gardener" I would tend to agree with that method besides not gumming up your trim scissors and handling I think there's also something to leaving them on for added taste factor. And yes then trim after dry. I haven't harvested yet (ever) but I like the paper bag or cardboard box method I think the paper slowly breathes allowing for longer dry/cure. Can't wait!!

Since i do smaller grows ( 8 max at a time ) , i dry using the brown bag method for sticky buds. Plain brown grocery bags are the best.

I do an initial trim ( wet ) then bag up. I layer a couple of inches and fold top closed with an Digital RH meter inside. After a few hours i " roll " bag ( still closed ) to gently tumble the buds ( to help keep buds from sticking together ) AND it keeps buds from getting flat spots . After 48 hours i check bag and continue rolling contents.

If RH is still a little high , i just leave bag open to vent for awhile , then reseal , like a jar.
I begin jarring around 68%-70% with a boveda pack and then magic happens !

Here are a couple autos that I'm growing outdoors. They are on Day 57 from seed. Mephisto's Sour Orange Diesel Kush and TH Seeds' MK Ultra. They've both grown a lot over the past week. They are in 3 gallon Smart Pots.

Auto Northern lights. Pretty sure theyre Paradise Seeds. I topped them young and theyr doing quite right about now. I juuuuuust bent these down. One of the phenos is a runt so I didn't tie her down. I'm wondering if I didn't mix in a freebie seed and forgot. I just got back from vacation to find only three autos left. There were four but something knocked over one. Poor plant. Also my loph is sunburnt! Ohno! But the Indian hemp is getting large as hell. That's maybe 7ft.. I'm growing that for fibers
Is that peyote lol?

Here's 16 of them.
20160518_160017.jpg The bulky cluster is a caesepetosa variety. I'm pretty sure it's weak in mescaline but i have no intention of hurting or consuming these succulents. They're all from seed and produce flower and fruit constantly if under 18-6 artificial lighting but only one flowered outdoors this year. They'll come in winter and sit under 18-6.

pics homie!
regular but LIGHT watering, constant LIGHT teas, and pick good genetics. Soil mix sounds OK, dap in some potash 1T per cuft as needed, and use a water soluble phosphorus source (compost tea is OK).. but then agian idk wtf is in promix so it might be hot already. Anyway, compost tea won't hurt when/if the plant fills in the smart pot or just to help finish it along.
