Another yellow leaf question

Another yellow leaf question from a first time grower. (I have however been a successful indoor/outdoor gardener for over 30 yrs, even owned my own house plant store in the '70's.) I have always subscribrd to the theory that at a certain point, yellow leaves should be removed due to the leaf actually using more nutrients and water than it is giving back to the plant. Also by removing them it stimulates more growth overall in the plant. Further, due to the humidity situation, this cuts down on fungal/mold/mildew growth. Also insects can gain an easier foothold on the plant because the plants natural defenses against bugs are decreased in weakened leaves. When I look at pictures of mass grows like in Holland, I see very few yellow leaves even in the flowering stage. All comments are welcomed, I really need to understand this. Thanks, HH

Hello Hunny....

I total agree with everything you say... I usually (wait to) pull the yellow leaves when they come off easy.... I will pull even earlier if I think there is a chance of fungus or no chance of leaf survival do to limited LIGHT... this is common in dense grows with limited light penetration beyond the canopy..

TY, TY. I didn't think about the dense grow part of the equation. I'm sure that could be a factor in this case. 25 plants in a 6x6 growing area. HH
