do they have major deficiencies, or is the yellowing normal?

i probably should have plucked off the leaves that are dead prior to the pictures but i was lazy lol

To my eyes they look generally underfed ... N, K, Mg and maybe P. I'd give them a squirt of some rapid-release nutes, and N ONLY from nitrate ... no ammonia or urea!!
I also would not worry about removing leaves until they fall off ... the plant is making the most of its underfed condition and retrieving what it can from the not-yet-dead leaves.
I see the plant being done in two to three weeks. cn

Thanks and yes i do i had started this strain about a year ago and now i just got it down too my 2 fav phenos, top producing in weight and top potency.

its a purps strain.

Keep the N low now. You might try a hit of Earth Juice Microblast in a week or so if they are still yellowing around the edges.

i hit them with a small amount of N not enough to compensate for the deficiency, but enough to help them out a bit, maybe next weekend i will update this thread, and the 2-3 weeks leading up to harvest.

however i was inattentive to my plants needs besides water for the last week or 2.

Never boost N during mid to late flower.

Plants need nitrogen for their entire life, even in flowering. Whether he needs to boost the N in his feeding formula or just boost everything is the question, it really depends what exactly he's been feeding them already.

At this point nothing is going to bring those yellow leaves back, just take some notes that you need a little heavier feeding for the next grow. Live and learn...

You're right about bloom nutes, they don't have a good enough NPK ratio. If you really think feeding a plant the proper NPK ratio to keep foliage alive throughout flowering will send the plant "the wrong signal", you are absolutely wrong.

What do you think the proper N-P-K ratio for flowering is? I am citing Rosenthal that too much N (e.g., "boosting") can retard flowering.

As an example, I haven't given this 12-footer any more than 5% N nutes in the last month.

It's normal for them to yellow in late flower,green means its too much nitrogen still stored,and for how long 1-2 weeks then chop give str8 water and don't feed no more unless u like having harsh weed.

You're proving my point 100%. Too much nitrogen is bad for the plant in any stage in it's life, so is too little.

If the plant is frankly deficient, and the N is nitrate, some is better than none imo. Mind you, most plants are not this frankly deficient so late in the game. I would not give this advice routinely, but in this instance ... needs must. Imo.
I would categorically avoid ammoniac and urea (or amino whatever) nitrogen during the last month. cn

You're right ... I was remembering pics of plants in another thread to which I've recently replied. Duh on me.
At this stage, and considering how close the grower here is to harvest, I would not bother with micros. But Mg and S could be to point, and adding both is as easy as Epsom. 1 gram per liter of water is good for 100ppm Mg and about 130ppm S. cn
