Here’s a blast of news, y’all - it’s OFFICIAL: ALL the Funimation (and Wakanime?) stuff is in the process of moving over to Crunchyroll. Funimation and (I guess) VRV will close down, and CR will single-source all the properties.

I’ve already found a half-dozen series I’ve been looking for, recent and not…but they have 10s of 1000s to transfer, and it looks like they’re trying to do ~100/mo until done. First tranch is 111 shows/seasons.

Funi and VRV subscribers will be offered a transfer option to CR including 2 free months (makes me wonder if there’ll be a price hike - currently paying $8/mo), but no details yet.

Current season update - there are things I’m watching, but nothing compelling. Single most interesting thing is World’s-End Harem, which is NOT the super-ecchi titfest everyone was expecting, but instead the only genuinely interesting offering. Single most entertaining thing is A Guy Reincarnated as A Fantasy Knockout.

Leadale, Love of Kill, Strongest Sage, Orient, Sabikui Biscuit, Tokyo 24th Ward have not been good enough for me to keep watching. Rusted Armors is just bad.

Hope y’all are doing well & spring is beginning to greet you!

I agree, this season has been weak. I'll check out World's End Harem right now, I usually just skip any ecchi stuffs, but I'm going to take your word for it on this one!

There are many complaints about it from ecchi fans, because the ‘censoring’ is brutal…makes a very strong point about THE STORY being the important part. It has a lot in it to think about, and it is NOT sexy at all. It has sexual situations that are not erotic because of the subject matter, and this is where the blacking out is most extensive - as if to say “snap out of it and read the room!”

Pardon, man, I’m not trying to sell it to ya…it’s just one of the two I look forward to each week, other being the bent-gender isekai. Yes, it’s silly, fun, and dumb, but it’s also smart in a non-copycat way(?)
