Interesting...lTiaDS is well-done fun, I agree…but I’ve been thinking the season was particularly strong: by this point in Winter, I’d already dropped half the shows I’d started watching, and even a couple of the ones I finished are gonna have to work to get my attention even if they get second seasons.

This season, it’s heavy on the rom-coms, and…I happen to like those. These are maybe not as great as Bobuken or something, but they’re well done & and mange to stay interesting despite the common themes. The pride of the bunch is Kaguya-Sama S3: it‘s GORGEOUS, really smart and funny (I think). It’s been consistently been head, shoulders & elbows above average, and seriously inventive/creative.

Here’s end-credit clips from the last 2 S3 episodes
EDIT: turns out there was a related clip in S1, so there are themes:

…And this from S1 (it may be famous)

Spy x Family is *just* over the top, I think it’s funny as hell, the premise is wonderfully goofy, just in case you haven’t checked it

Looks good…I kinda went off of vampires back in the 80s (I blame the 80s…), but enjoyed Vanitas; there’s another coming soon….

it's in manderin (chinese) so...but it dubbed english, haven't seen the other one
I believe it’s Chinese as well. I’ve watched a couple of episodes of Last Summoner, also Chinese. After listening to so much Japanese these last few years, the Chinese sounds *very* different…could never tell them apart before, but now it’s obvious.

HA! Just remembered, I promised my daughter I’d watch Last Airbender….

Just committed to watching all of Miyazaki's major films in chronological order starting with Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind which is delightful. Castle in the Sky is up next. I've been meaning to do this for quite a while. Now that I know HBO Max has a studio ghibli hub it's easy.
